Open Education Resource (OER)

Teaching textbooks are the way most students receive traditional education. Nowadays, open education has gradually become a mainstream educational method. In the past, students could only obtain knowledge by reading textbooks and also limited to traditional educational institutions. And the cost of these textbooks is very high. It also adds a lot of tuition. It’s important that many of the textbooks are used only once and there is no chance to use them. Through research, only 18% of students will often 53% of the students who read these books indicated that they rarely read textbooks in class, so many students would not like to read these textbooks when they bought books, and 64% of students said that because textbooks are too expensive, they would not buy these textbooks. Education will not be so expensive because many of the learning materials in open education are free resources from the Internet. Therefore, the development of open education can reduce the cost of many students. Another point is that sometimes the school’s bookstore does not have as many books as the students. I have to go outside to find these textbooks but open them. Resources would not have these problems because many things are students from the network can quickly and easily obtain these learning materials and therefore reduce the open education student spending to some extent so that fewer students to pay more tuition.

In the past, students only had access to knowledge of informal educational institutions. There is no other way and the books are very expensive. Many students are reluctant to spend money on textbooks. Now technology is getting better. People have their own computers. And the Internet, so open education has since been born, so now students do not need to be limited to learning in the formal education structure. Students can get knowledge textbooks through open education and gradually become e-books. Students can read through the Internet. These learning materials and the Internet is a huge Internet that can collect resources from all over the world. So the open education resource library is very abundant and huge, and the books with many limitations in the physical book are difficult to find in reality and the network is not the same. The network has a good search function that allows students to quickly find the books they want. From here, open education has a bigger and more complete learning resources than traditional education.

We all know that students who spend a lot of money on colleges are often poor, but learning advanced knowledge is also very precious. But now open education has solved the problem of expensive tuition. More and more students are learning on the Internet. Some students who can’t afford the university can also receive more education on the Internet. Open education is also more flexible and more fun than traditional education. Students can read knowledge from all over the world on the Internet. This is also a way to strengthen the people of the world. The way of communication nowadays, many people can do it through the Internet and know that what happens in the world every day can also learn the cultural knowledge of the world through the Internet. Therefore, open education is an advanced education system and the cheapest education resource.

Conclusions

Through the above research, we can find that the current open education is more and more accepted and more advanced. Many students like online courses because the educational resources are relatively rich, the prices are cheaper, and the added content is more extensive and most important. Three points are also reflected in the fact that open education has a larger learning resource library, cheaper textbooks, and broader knowledge. The three points are the reason why open education has become more popular.
