The Important of Developing Internet and Online Social Media (Showcase)

Part One: Self-Experiences “My University Learning”

Our students use their mobile phones and computers almost every day. We may use them to check out the classroom materials or use them to open the PPT and PDF texts of the teacher’s post and use them for course study or we have problems when we write homework. I often use Google to collect and get more help because it is the fastest and most convenient way to go to help. If we can’t find any useful information, we will contact us through Facebook or Wechat. It’s also important for friends to discuss and ask for help, so we need to use the resources around us. The social media play an important role, and it helps us to learn, to discuss, and easy to connect to classmates.

In my first-year and second-year course, I often use Wechat and google to help me to learn. During this time google and Wechat became my most important part of school life, if without them I may not able to pass the course. In most of the first and second year of the course, it is a personal assignment, so we only need to discuss those difficult questions with friends. Most of the time, the individual is finished, and in the third and fourth years, many courses change. As a group work, so we have more interactions, so social media becomes more important.

The one I use most in the general course is Google doc because it can share files to several people so we can write or modify a job at the same time. So Google doc is a good tool for teamwork. For example, if we complete a project, and after then we need to write a report. So, We need to teamwork on that report assignment because everyone has the own job position, so sometimes we need to meet together and write the report, but if we use the Google doc to doing this assignment and that will make us much easy to do. This will be more convenient and faster because we don’t need to find a good time that makes all team members available for the group meeting. We use the Google doc will much convenient for us, the internet and a device no matter is a mobile device or is a laptop.

I am a computer science student, writing code is my real homework to a 300-level or 400-level course. We need to write a lot of group projects. So we usually use GitHub to complete these projects. GitHub is one for Commonly developed open source tools, we will clone a folder so if someone pushes something new we can see it and it will have a record. Once we make a mistake, we can revert to the previous version. Also, the GitHub is a large learning resource for our computer science students because we can go to GitHub to search all information that source code that other people wited and allow us to study from that resource.

Part Two: Being International “Connecting to the World”

The development of the Internet not only gives the students a great help but also allows the students to get good resources. On the other hand, it also helps the people of the world to have better communication, also it is to connect the people of the world. In the past, if people living in different places and It is very difficult to contact or communicate with others. Now we have good online learning resources, and this will make education globalization no longer an unreachable dream. I also believe that future education globalization will use the technology that drives the world allows students to learn the most advanced technology to enable students to have better learning resources. If one day, people can complete all the university content through online learning at home, and the education system will completely different.
